\prefetch, it is still not aggressive enough when it runs. One thing I did want to clarify is that even if SR2 is prefetching correctly with a created.

Like you say though, the sheer fun of the game far outshines its problems if you can find a way past the issues. A lot of that can be attributed to CD Projekt who did the porting job, but it's still pretty sad that Volition decided to just give up and stop supporting it completely. GTA IV beats it by using over 3.8GB, so much for recommended requirements hahaĮdit After playing for a lot longer, I notice RAM usage is now way over 3GB so I am assuming it will use more the longer I play.Ĭlick to expand.Well, it really was one of the worst ports I've ever seen. Total RAM while running Windows 7 X64 Pro and Saints Row 2 so far is over 2.9GB. I think the game is so much fun and many have missed out due to the shoddy portmanship. It is a shame that the original Devs have abandoned it but we are so lucky to have a great community to keep on improving it with Mods and fixes. I had to patch SR2 to support my 1600 x 900 resolution, again a third party solution had to be used. Next time I play I will check how much is being used, I have Rivatuner displaying RAM usage in game on the OSD amongst other things.

That must be partly why I get such good performance, my 6GB of RAM surely helps too. I checked the Windows 7 superfetch and mine was already doing that correctly. Really good to see you posting here and such great news hearing about the speed fix, I can't wait for that to be released.
